Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) introduced and sponsored the National Science Foundation Artificial Intelligence Education Act of 2024 (S.4394) with 1 cosponsor on May 22nd, 2024. The bill is intended to support the growth of the US workforce in artificial intelligence through educational initiatives.

Notably, the act grants the National Science Foundation the ability to provide undergraduate and graduate scholarships focused on AI and quantum computing.
